Karahi Cooking Sauce

Award Winning Balti Curry Cooking Sauce

Balti Curry Pathia - (Hot, Sweet & Sour)

• 350g Karahi Sauce
• 70g Mango Chutney
• 60g tomato Ketchup
• 5g freshly pureèd green chillies
• 1 tsp fenugreek leaves



Balti Curry Makhani - (Butter & Cream)
• 350g Karahi Sauce
• 70g single cream
• 30g tomato purée
• 25g butter
• 1 tsp fenugreek leaves



Balti Curry Rogan Josh - (Spicey Tomato Based)
• 350g Karahi Sauce
• 20g tomato purée
• 20g finely chopped fried onions
• 5g freshly puréed green chillies
• 1 medium sized fresh finely chopped tomato
• 1 tsp of gram masala
• 1 tsp fenugreek leaves



Balti Curry Korma - (Sweet & Mild)
• 350g Karahi sauce
• 70g cream
• 60g sugar
• 30g cream coconut



Balti Curry Masala - (mild)
• 350g Karahi sauce
• 50g cream
• 25g tandoori masala
• 15g tomato purée
• 1 tsp deep orange colouring
• 1 tsp gram masala



**COOKING SUGGESTIONS**
Gently stir fry your meat /or vegetables in vegetable oil until golden brown. Stir in required amount of sauce and gently bring to the boil until thoroughly cooked. Added water optional to thin the sauce.




British Kashmiri Fushion Dishes

Kashmiri Chicken Pasta Bake
• 275g Karahi sauce
• 200g pasta
• 90g cheese
• 70g sweetcorn
• Half KG chicken breast

**Cooking instructions**
• Stir fry chicken in vegetable oil until golden brown
• Add Karahi sauce to the chicken
• Boil the pasta until cooked
• Drain water out
• Add pasta to the sauce and chicken
• Add sweetcorn
• Once in a suitable tray sprinkle cheese on top and place into the oven in a low heat for approx 20 minutes
• Garnish with coriander
• Serve and enjoy 😊


Kashmiri Karahi Pizza
• Ready made pizza base
• 250g Karahi Sauce
• 250g cheese
• 100g chicken
• 100g tomato purée
• 50g Finely chopped mushrooms
• 50g red and green peppers
• 50g red onions
• 25g sweetcorn

**COOKING INSTRUCTIONS**
• Place ready made pizza base on baking tray
• Stir fry chicken in vegetable oil until golden brown
• Mix Karahi sauce with tomato purée and spread evenly onto base
• Followed by onions,peppers, mushrooms, chicken, sweetcorn etc
• Generous covering of cheese on top
• Heat oven to gas mark 6 / 200 degrees
• Cook in over for 15-20mins approx
• Serve and enjoy 😊


Desi shepherds pie

• 260g Balti karahi sauce
• 500g mince meat
• 8 cooking Potatoes
• Cheese to taste
• Butter to taste
• Salt
• Pepper
• Oil

**COOKING INSTRUCTIONS**

• Peal the potatoes
• Add 1 tbs of salt and the potatoes to boiling water
• After the potatoes have been boiled drain the water
• Mash together the potatoes, butter, salt and pepper( mash completed )
• In a separate pan add 2tbs of oil and 500g of mince meat
• Once the meat is cooked add 260g (One and half cooking spoon) of Karahi sauce
• Cook for 5 minutes
• In a casserole dish layer the meat and mash following the sequence of meat then mash
• Once layered add cheese ontop and place under the grill until the cheese has melted
• Enjoy the desi shepherds pie
